Clear Braces

Clear Braces, also called Clear Aligners are one of the easiest ways to straighten teeth without traditional metal braces. Using a digital scanner, OrthoDirect creates a 3D model of your teeth to create aligners specially crafted to fit your mouth.

Our clear braces are similar to Invisalign® but cost a fraction of the price — starting at $1,495.

When you arrive at one of our two locations located in Hillsboro, OR or Vancouver, WA you’ll receive a FREE Smile Consultation which includes expert guidance on how clear aligners can work for you.  We’ll also quickly scan your teeth to create a treatment plan modified for your specific needs.

OrthoDirect also offers multiple financing options. At a price that’s 70% lower than traditional braces, you won’t be able to stop smiling.

Frequently Asked Questions

The treatment involves wearing clear, plastic trays that are custom-designed for your mouth. On day-one customers receive all aligner trays to be used throughout the treatment plan. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to tooth position, a process that is mapped out in advance by the dental lab we work with and then reviewed and approved by Dr. Cronin. You’ll begin wearing a new set of aligners as directed by your prescribed treatment plan, typically every two weeks, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. Our dental assistants use a highly accurate 3D intraoral scanner to capture a digital map of your smile, including your teeth and gum lines. This 3D image helps us determine if our aligners are a fit for your smile and allows our lab to work with the doctor overseeing your case in creating your personalized treatment plan.

Fixing crowding or spacing changes your bite. To keep the bite correct, the doctors in our network recommend treating the other arch, too. If you’re correcting crowding in one arch, you have to widen the shape of the opposing teeth to match or the bite can be affected. The same principal is true for correcting spacing in your teeth. As gaps are closed, the shape of the arch changes. The arches need to be symmetrical to ensure a good bite, so the bottom teeth may need to be adjusted, even if you’re primarily concerned with a gap in only one arch. Not only can ignoring the opposing arch cause issues with the bite, it can also result in dental relapse.

If you lose one of your aligners, you will need to order a replacement right away. The cost for replacements is only $60 per tray. You will need to wear the previous aligner to ensure that your teeth do not shift back to their original position, while you are waiting for your new aligner to arrive.
